World of Warcraft - Elementium Ore Mining Guide

Mining is one of the many professions in World of Warcraft that can help you earn quite a bit of gold! One of the most advanced types of ore that you'll learn to mine as you progress towards the end of your profession experience is the elementium ore. With this ore, you can rake in lots of gold just by selling the bars on the auction house or using the ore to blacksmith powerful gear.
However you choose to monetize your elementium ore mining adventures, it's helpful to know where the most abundant spots are for mining this ore. Below are some common places that elementium ore is known to sprout up. The arrangement of maps is in no specific order, but I have personally found that Uldum is the easiest, most populated, and least farmed area for mining elementium ore. Take some time to familiarize yourself with the routes before setting out and trying one out.
Gathermate 2
To make mining as simple as possible, go ahead and grab the Gathermate 2 add-on (as well as its Gathermate2_data plugin) to add common spawn points for elementium ore to your map in World of Warcraft.
Uldum
Uldum, as previously stated, is one of the easiest places to mine elementium ore, in my opinion. It's abundant, and there doesn't appear to be as much competition in this area as there are in other zones. This could vary from server to server, however. You definitely should start here, though. Just follow the route pictured below to mine the ore the quickest and maximize the amount of gold you can make in the long run.
Twilight Highlands
Another great place to find elementium ore is Twilight Highlands. In my experience, the ore wasn't as abundant here, but it is still a solid choice for mining if you're looking to bring large quantities in over a small period of time. If there is too much competition here or if the spawn rate is off, try moving onto Deepholm or back to Uldum.
Deepholm
Last but certainly not least, Deepholm is a great alternative to TH or Uldum for mining elementium ore. One of the nicest perks about farming in Deepholm is that if you are to get ambushed by mobs, it shouldn't take too long to clear them out of the way due to them being at lower levels.
Remember: If you're having trouble coming up with elementium ore or there doesn't seem to be much to offer, keep in mind that there are others in the game with the same intentions. There are more than likely other people clearing out veins, and this can become troublesome if you're only a few steps behind someone. If this is the case, just rotate zones and try another. Remember to switch up your mining spots too, so that the task doesn't become tedious. There's a lot to see in World of Warcraft, and this will also help you see and explore more!

Wow, a nice detailed guide with good drop estimates. I always go to the Twilight Highlands for my top-level skinning, and because I've Mining (for cash, not for my character's stats), I tend to be greedy and take what ore there is too. Voted up ^^
@cicsomum WoW is intensely addictive, and because of this, I also plan on writing a bit on learning how to balance this game with your life. Too many people fall into the trap of spending too much in the World of Warcraft, and not the REAL 'world.'

Just seen cicsomum's comment, and that's a real shame. I'd really like to see a Hub on it, mynameisnotpaul. Yet, the irony is I met my girlfriend on it - yet I'm still spending too much money on companions, on her haha.
Believe me, you dont need to tell me its addictive, I have sold 10+ gladiator characters, booster countless of players in Arena, done all the hard mode raids etc. That's the thing.. you cant balance it with your RL if you want to do all these things.

Yes, you can balance your life and the game with moderation. It will take longer to get the things you want, but it's possible.
Nice detailed hub always useful where to find things like mining nodes. I think it is possible to balance gaming, it like everything else ok in moderation bad if taken to excess.

I'm so glad I quite WOW :) I spent 6 years playing WoW 6-8 hours a day. Lost my girlfriend cause of these games, job and even some of my friends.
